Another historic day for the history books, and another historic kiss to remember. This was the kiss watched around the world. William and Kate are finally married. They are now the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. It’s a modern day fairy tale and England now has a new princess. The prince looked dashing in his scarlet red uniform and Kate looked absolutely lovely in her elegant Sara Burton gown. This is two royal weddings I’ve seen now, and tho I didn’t watch it live, I must admit it’s kind of cool to see a royal wedding. It is the wedding of the century. Happy marriage to Kate and William!
How many royal weddings have you seen? Did you watch the wedding live? Or did you wait and catch a recap later? What did you think? Who was your favorite celebrity at the wedding?

I didn't get caught up in this like many people did. I actually didn't watch a single stitch of anything to do with this wedding at all, but I can appreciate those that did. I watched a hilarious episode of "The Middle" this week, where the mom on the show was obsessing over the wedding, and the idea that it's "every little girl's dream" to marry a prince and become a princess, and you get to watch it happen for real on national television. Of course hi-jinx and hilarity ensued. It was pretty funny and I get it, but I guess I just wasn't one of those little girls. I didn't dream of getting married when I was little and I didn't have any sort of picture of my wedding in my head. I guess it's just a case of "to each their own." That is a beautiful picture of them kissing though, and I do hope they have a wonderful life together.

My favorite royal moment was the one I did not watch live (having to get at least a few winks before work). It was the couple driving themselves off in the Aston Martin. Where else in the world would such important people be allowed to drive themselves? Especially in an open car with no room for security people? Admittedly they were followed by a single black windowed Rove Ranger. After being chauffeured around all day I bet Prince William really enjoyed letting that clutch out himself, even if he barely got out of second gear. As a rescue helicopter pilot in his present main day job, he knows how to handle controls. Now can he handle Kate? Wonder what she is plotting for him now that they are married 🙂

Whether or not William can "handle" Kate is yet to be seen, lol. 🙂 I do think he was quite gallant. He made his own tradition and asked Kate for her permission to kiss her on that balcony. A little Royal Wedding 411: Charles and Diana started the "kiss from the balcony" tradition. The funny thing is, Charles had to ask the Queen if he could kiss his bride.

H, you are so funny! Lol! 😀 Historic and memorable snapshot in time, yes. What do I remember most? That even tho William is the crown prince, I couldn't help but think that roguish Prince Harry is the more attractive of the two!

Hey Keshyra, yeah, I didn't watch @ 3am like some people I know ( I won't name names!) but I do think it's kinda cool how there is still royalty in England to this degree. I love English history, so this just adds to it. I do wonder tho if during the American War of Independence people ever thought they would be celebrating English royalty to such a degree. Oh, how times have changed!
