What do Julia Roberts and the evil queen in Snow White have in common?
I am absolutely excited to see Julia Roberts play a villain! As the quintessential good girl, it will be interesting to see how she interprets the classic villain. Here are some of my favorite actors who took a villainous turn over the years.
Anthony Hopkins went from the loving father Colonel William Ludlow in Legends of the Fall to the heinously hair raising Hannibal Lecter.

Denzel Washington is always a hero, but he took home an Oscar his role as deadly and conniving Detective Alonzo Harris in Training Day.

Alex O’Loughlin plays adorable baby daddy in The Back-up Plan with Jennifer Lopez, and is always delicious, but not so much in an episode of Criminal Minds where he plays an OCD afflicted serial killer.

Jeremy Renner went from bad guy to good guy back to bad guy. Remember him in S.W.A.T.? Then playing a hero in The Hurt Locker and then back to being bad in The Town. I can’t decide if I like him better as a bad boy or an adrenaline junkie.

Ralph Fiennes was a man to swoon over in The English Patient. I can’t think of marzipan without thinking of him. I was horrified when he played the twisted villain in Red Dragon. But he absolutely rocks as the dread villain extraordinaire Lord Voldemort in the wildly popular Harry Potter franchise.
