Here’s a little tidbit….Where did little Suri Cruise get her name? I don’t quite remember the reports as it was a little while ago, but here’s my guess…..MAYBE her famous parents were fans of a fantastic movie named Dinosaur.
This is an animated feature with vision. It is really quite genius and visually dynamic. It is definitely a treat and I do recommend it; especially if you or your young one loves dinosaurs. I found this flick to be a very endearing and heart warming story, suitable for the whole family, though it does have a few very scary moments where even my fearless youngling was covering her eyes and asking for cuddles! It starts off in a way reminiscent of Tarzan, then unfolds wonderfully into a daring journey and adventure that arises out of the necessity for survival. It then has little echoes of Ice Age The Meltdown and resonates with the message of no one being left behind. It is a movie about courage and hope, friendship and family, sharing and being part of a team. It also embodies a concept so simple that if everyone practiced it, it has the power to make the world a better place – the belief that everyone should care about those around them and take the time to help one another. What a wonderful place that would be.
~P.S.~ A new Ice Age movie will be hitting theaters July 2009! Its title? Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs of course!

Awww……. how nice to hear about this movie! It is good to have kid's movies that teach good lessons. Ever since I watched Wall-E, I am finding that I am intrigued by these new age animated movies. I feel like starting a collection! LOL
We had rock and sock em Bugs Bunny (totally violent), the Flintstones (full of sex), kids these days have it good.

Suri Cruise and etymology of the name
The daughter Cruise and Holmes, Suri, commonly called "TomKitten" by the media,[1] was born April 18, 2006, at Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, California.[9][14]
There was controversy surrounding the name "Suri" and what the couple stated its meaning to be. The Los Angeles Times summarized the written statement Cruise released on the birth as saying the name "is a word with origins in both Hebrew and Persian. In Hebrew, it means 'princess' and in Persian, 'red rose,' it was claimed in the release".[15] Suri is a girl name for Girl in Persian community. However, magazines and blogs noted Cruise's mistranslation of the Hebrew meaning of "Suri".[16] In Hebrew, Suri actually means "from Syria", not "princess".[17][18] The wrong etymology might stem from the fact that Suri is a Yiddish pet form of Sarah, which means "princess."[19]
