The leak of the year!

The hugest leak of the year so far!

Talk about a huge bummer! According to MTV Beyonce’s entire new album 4 has been leaked onto the internet 3 weeks before it was due to drop. One or two songs is bad enough, but an entire album?!? Wow, looks like folks are rabid for some Beyonce. And in typical Beyonce grace and class the uber talented songstress is taking the high road.

Beyonce released a statement to MTV:

“My music was leaked and while this is not how I wanted to present my new songs, I appreciate the positive response from my fans,” the singer wrote. “When I record music I always think about my fans singing every note and dancing to every beat. I make music to make people happy and I appreciate that everyone has been so anxious to hear my new songs.”

This new album was supposed to be released on June 28th and it is the first compilation of new music from the singer since her I Am … Sasha Fierce album from 2008. It might be wise for Miss B to take a look at her team and see who is untrustworthy. First the Andre 3000 collaberation “Party” leaked, then “Countdown” followed up by the whole shebang. Links are popping all over Twitter so Beyonce’s team is going to have one heck of a time trying to corral all those babies. I doubt they’ll have much success, but I’m betting that in the end this will help Beyonce in her mission to conquer the music world.

As much as I love Beyonce I will not be one of those (and you know who you are!) who rush to get a listen to the tracks before the album actually drops.

Curious minds want to know: What do you think of the unfortunate leak of Beyonce’s album 4? Will it help her? Or will it hinder sales in the long run? Do you think B’s team planned the leak? And will you be one of those who listens to the tracks before the June 28th release date? Leave me a comment. I’d love to know what you think.

Film legend Elizabeth Taylor.

Sad news comes out of Hollywood today. Elizabeth Taylor a screen legend and icon died today at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles where she had been being treated for congestive heart failure for approximately six weeks. This is what Sally Morrison told The Associated Press.

As infamous off screen as she was famous on screen, this film legend won two Oscars and gave ground breaking performances in films like Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf. She was the epitome of the classic old Hollywood movie star and her loss signals the true end of an era.

Elizabeth Taylor career spanned a remarkable 70 years.

Elizabeth Taylor's career spanned a remarkable 70 years.

Her career spanned a phenomenal 70 years and 50 films and she will be remembered not only for her contribution to film, but also for her tireless work in an effort to combat HIV/AIDS. She was surrounded by her children Michael Wilding, Christopher Wilding, Liza Todd, and Maria Burton when she passed.

Her son Michael Wilding, 58, said: “My mother was an extraordinary woman who lived life to the fullest, with great passion, humor, and love. Though her loss is devastating to those of us who held her so close and so dear, we will always be inspired by her enduring contribution to our world.”

Her first appearance on film was at age 9 in There’s One Born Every Minute and her last appearance was in the TV series God, the Devil and Bob. She went on to appear in the Lassie films, Jane Eyre, National Velvet, A Place in the Sun, Giant, and of course Cleopatra where she met Richard Burton. The diminutive actress was larger than life, living it to the fullest and making no apologies for enjoying everything that life had to offer.

The violet eyed actress had eight marriages, was married to Richard Burton twice and they were known as the Brangelina of their day. It’s an understatement to say her love life was tumultuous and fascinating and we can definitively say she captured our hearts and our attention as much by her personal escapades as by her work in film. She will be missed.

“I feel very adventurous. There are so many doors to be opened, and I’m not afraid to look behind them.”

Yes, it’s sad, but true. Lindsay Lohan is going to jail. I feel bad for her, honestly, as a mom, I’d hoped she would have picked up her socks and cleaned up her act. Nobody wants to rejoice (usually) when it’s announced that somebody is trading in the stolen fur coats for not so lovely jailbird orange. I sure don’t. It’s very unfortunate and didn’t have to happen — or maybe it did. Maybe this was the only way she would wake up and realize she was throwing her young and “could be talented again” life away. Most likely LiLo won’t end up serving the full 90 days in the slammer. If she’s lucky, maybe she’ll get half that and some sort of community service. Who knows? However, based on the stunned reaction and futile ramblings of both Linds and her lawyer after the judges verdict, I can only deduce that no one expected that Miss Lohan would end up behind bars. Stay strong Lindsay. It’ll be tough while you’re serving your sentence, but in the end, hopefully it’s the wake up call you so desperately need.
