I’ve been waiting for a video for this cover to drop for weeks now. This is a band that I will be keeping my eye on. I’m a huge Bryan Adams fan, I grew up dancing and singing to his music. So when I heard they were covering his song I was like they better knock it out of the park. And they did. The Midway State brings the noise with this awesome cover of “Run To You”. Check it out!

Run To You Lyrics

She says her love for me could never die
But that’d change if she ever found out about you and I

Oh – but her love is cold
Would it hurt her if she didn’t know, cause…

When it gets too much
I need to feel your touch

I’m gonna run to you
I’m gonna run to you
Cause when the feelings right I’m gonna run all night
I’m gonna run to you

She’s got a heart of gold she’d never let me down
But you’re the woman that always turns me on
You keep me coming round

I know her love is true
But it’s so damn easy making love to you

I got my mind made up
I need to feel your touch

I’m gonna run to you
Yeah – I’m gonna run to you
Cause when the feeling right I’m gonna stay all night

I’m gonna run to you
Yeah – I’m gonna run to you
Oh when the feeling right I’m gonna run all night
I’m gonna run to you

OK, this is too funny. I thought I’d heard and seen it all when I saw Fabio as the New Old Spice Guy. Then I found out that he challenged Isaiah Mustafa, a.k.a. The Old Old Spice Guy to a duel. Now I’ve seen it all.

So who won the “Mano a Mano en El Bano” (hand-to-hand in the bathroom) competition? Well, even though Fabio used to rock the romance covers and was considered to be the epitome of sexy once upon a time, the Old Spice Guy Isaiah Mustafa won the challenge based on Likes and online comments. I mean, come on, who’s mood isn’t instantly improved when the Old Spice Guy appears and says the now famous opening, “Hello ladies”?

FYI – Did you know Isaiah used to play football? Now you can see him in Horrible Bosses and next year in Three Stooges.

Check out the challenge below. It’s too funny. Which Old Spice Guy do you like better? :D

True Blood on Sesame Street? They’ll do a True Blood parody, they’ll even do a parody of Law and Order: SVU and nobody hears a peep about it. But there’s a huge hue and cry when Katy Perry shows a teensy bit of cleavage on the antediluvian children’s show? ESPECIALLY when her little video is so cute, funny and creative. What a shame. I don’t get it.

Anyhow, in case you missed it, check out this PG friendly bite of True Blood. It’s True Mud on Sesame Street. Enjoy!

I’ve also included the Katy Perry vid and the SVU vid for you to ponder.

A penny for your thoughts? What’s your take on it?

When it come to movies, Canada has much to offer in the way of brilliance and creativity. So, in honor of Canada Day, I’ve put together a list of 5 movies linked together by a common theme — some great Canadian talent! So pop some popcorn tonight after the fireworks and sit back and enjoy a flick or two with some of the finest Canuck talent attached to it! Happy Canada Day everyone!

5. Splice – Who doesn’t love the independent and edgy Sarah Polley? She’s one stellar Canuck who gives this Sci-Fi flick some serious thespian attitude.

4. Juno – This is an academy award winning film with the indomitable and awesome Canuck actress Ellen Page.

3. Million Dollar Baby – It seems that anything Paul Haggis touches turns to Oscar gold… or millions of dollars. He’s one Canuck with some serious clout.

2. Avatar – No matter how many times I see this film, I am still blown away by its scope and beauty. James Cameron has been called a visionary and he truly is one of Canada’s most imaginative filmmakers of our time.

1. Uncle Buck – An oldie but goodie, pretty much anything with the late John Candy in it is sure to entertain.

Which one will you watch? :D

OK, so I had to share this with all of you in case you haven’t seen it. Crazy, huh? Anyone speak seagull?

*Thanks to Mashable for the heads up.
